As I put my wellies on, I hear Robins, Great Tits, the beautiful Song Thrush, and Blue Tits. I decide to go check up on the cattle, heading towards and within field 34, I wade through the muddy conditions trying not to splash too much of it onto my trousers, here I am between hedges of Brambles, Blackthorn and Hawthorn up to the gate. Past the gate I spot a Blackbird flying above, as it then flies down into the pond area over the hedges to the left of me.

In South and Saxon Fields I notice the waterlogged environment as I feel glad that I decided to wear the wellies. Great Tits are heard between the copse both south and north of the field, a Crow is spotted above me as another Song Thrush sings away. Over the gate in Saxon, a Pheasant is instantly heard, more Blue Tits are spotted, around five Magpies are seen in the air, and Chaffinches are heard towards the end of the field and well into Holocombe.

Walking through Seven Acres, many a Meadow Pipet comes off from the ground as I spot a Herring Gull above. The Quarry from here can be heard making load noise.

Into the Warren and Field 40 where the Herefords are located, I check the Electric Fence. The Warren has been mostly left to grow, leaving it very scrubby including much European Gorse – hear I spotted and heard a Rook, Greenfinches, Bullfinches, Great Tits, Robins, Chaffinches, as well as a Rabbit close to where I check the water trough within that field.

I climb over to field 40, here are where all the Herefords are, as I head towards the other trough I count the cattle – 31 of them! After doing this I stop to appreciate the wildlife sounds and sights within the field – I close my eyes: Greenfinches, a Great Tit in the distance, Robins, Herring Gulls towards the sea, Crows above, and Meadow Pipets. I then open them and walk on, realising I am running late to write the diary! As I head out of field 40, I spot a Magpie and Goldfinches above.

Then, I walked fast to get back to write the diary in time!
