Durlston Castle

Room Hire

Durlston Castle and Country Park is the ideal location for your function. Whether it be your wedding, a family gathering or a party.

Belvedere room

The Belvedere

Our Belvedere room is situated at the upper-most floor of the Castle with access via a lift, internal spiral staircase, or two external staircases. The room is full character with high ceilings, beautiful original decor and an outdoor terrace.

Windows around the room offer 360' views of the sea, overlooking Durlston Bay, Peveril Point, and the the Isle of Wight. In calm weather, the sea will provide a tranquil blue backdrop, or in stormier weather provides some dramatic waves and ocean sprays.

Hire of the Belvedere includes tables and chairs, access to the roof is permitted but not exclusive. Exclusive use of the roof can be requested for an additional fee at the same rates as room hire.

Hire fees

  • 2 hours £130
  • 3 hours £170
  • 4 hours £210
  • All day £375 (10am – Castle close: 4 or 5pm).
  • Evening hire £375 (6.00 pm – 10.30pm) including terrace.

 

Learning Centre Activity Room

Activity Room

The Activity Room (at the Learning Centre) is ideal for private hire - everything from a family get-together, or training venue.  We can provide tables, chairs, whiteboard, flipcharts to suit. There are public toilets also at the Learning Centre and an outdoor terrace with views to sea.

Hire fees

  • £40 per half day session (9am – 1pm/1pm – 5pm)
  • £75 all day (9am – 5pm)
  • £95 per evening (6pm – 10pm)

Reduced rates are available for community groups.

The Gallery and Cinema rooms can be hired together, there is limited availability and hire includes tables and chairs – please speak to a Ranger or email us for details.
