What to do in September

  • Get out your binoculars for an early morning walk, as migrant birds pass overhead - from thousands of Swallows, to rare migrants, you never know what you might find!
  • Stroll through the Pleasure Grounds and look for the first of the autumn colour
  • Wander round the Clifftop Trail - our clifftop flowers are at their very best this month, with stunning displays of Sea Aster and Golden Samphire
  • Whether its paintings, pottery, silks or ceramics, the Fine Foundation Gallery has some stunning exhibitions this month, by artists and makers from all over the country
  • Join a guided walk with a Ranger to learn the art of birdwatching or discover Durlston's curious history...
  • Try and spot Bottlenose Dolphins from the Clifftop Trail - they are often seen at this time of year, or look for Peregrine Falcons on the cliffs
  • Crumble season is here! Take a walk round the meadows and pick some Blackberries...
  • Look out for piles of purple Badger poo along the Wildlife Trail as they gorge on Blackberries!
