Another bright fresh sunny morning smothers the park in a golden glow, as the sun rises this morning. Heading out through south field a flash of a white rump catches my eye, as a Rabbit scurries away into the safety of the scrub. Dodging old cow pats, I make my way across the field watching a Raven soar silently overhead. The tuneful call of a Skylark pulls my attention to the blue sky above my head as the bird passes over head hurrying across to the other side of the field.
A very autumnal feeling fills the hedgerows this morning with the golden sunlight highlighting the browns, red and yellows of the remaining leaves on Sycamore and Ash. Deep wine-red haw berries still smother the branches off Hawthorn, though they are starting to go over slightly now. Making my way through the due covered grass, the alarm call of a panicked Blackbird fills the air as it dashes to the safety of a Blackthorn. A Robin leisurely sings from the top of a patch of scrub unfazed by the Blackbirds panic.
Looking out of fields one and two, three Roe Deer graze peacefully along the north boundary of field one. In the middle of the field a flock of four hen Pheasants peck around in the long grass, distinctive long tails dragging behind them. In the field over a cock Pheasant stands out against the green grass, the bright red plumage contrasting against the green.
Heading back the bright sun almost blinds, though it highlights a flock of Goldfinch flying past that come to land is a rose hip covered Rose. Passing another flock of Goldfinch all sat in a patch of Gorse covered in bright yellow flowers. Bristly Oxe Tongue and Hawksbeard still cling on to their bright yellow flowers, Hawksbeard twisting towards the sun.
