A few more clouds in the sky this morning compared to yesterday and a colder breeze, though still a beautiful morning. I head through taskers admiring the freshly mown paths, and the Buttercups poka dotting the field.  Pops of purple from the Red Clover intersperse the yellow from the Buttercups.

Stinging Nettles line the edges of the path through the large copse with taller Garlic Mustard in flower behind. Ground Ivy weaves its way along the bottom of this collection of plants, trumpet like purple flowers sticking out of the sten.

Oxeye meadow is a patchwork of different flowers, bright pink Common Sainfoin flower spikes standout against the green. Oxeye Daises are starting to flower some in full bloom while the petals are only just starting to unfurl. In the shorter turf Yellow Rattle is flowering some covered in Cuckoo Spit, from the Froghoppers nymphs cocooned inside.

Along the top of the gully Hawks Beard are just starting to open there bright yellow flowers in the mornings sun. The scratchy call of White Throat pulls my attention to the bird atop a patch of Blackthorn. Above Skylarks sing loud over the meadows somewhere out of sight.

Up over the ridge to the top of field 6, Swallows dart in all directions, streamlined bodies helping them dart quickly over the top of the Gorse covered in yellow blooms. Heading back up the light house road I spot a male and female Stonechat perched on the top of two patches of scrub, the more brightly coloured male calling, the noise sounding like two stones hitting together.
