SUN! a beautiful spring morning, not a cloud in the sky and only a whisper of windy. The sun rises over the sea looking out from rest and admire. The water is near to perfectly still as it can get, quietly lapping at the shore down below.
Along the edge of the timeline Three Cornered Leeks are in flower with delicate white flowers towering over the foliage. On caravan terrace Primroses can still be seen in flower bright yellow flowers catching the eye as you pass. Above the rock face two Great Tits flit about a Holm Oak tree. Water continues to poor over the rock face.
The cliffs are alive with activity this morning, three Fulmars elegantly swoop in and out of the cliff face. 20+ Guillemots bob about on the water some preening themselves, off to their right one long Razor Bill bobs on the water. In a burst of black wings Jack Daw explode from the cliff as a Raven pass by with something in its beak.
Further along a tiny Long Tailed Tis flits about a Tamarisk, I can hear its companions but am unable to spot them. Another Raven soars past this time being dived at by a Carrion Crow. Two more Ravens chase behind with one holding something its beak. The first flies to the top of the mile marker to escape its attacker and calls for its friends.
As it’s a warm sunny morning I make a point to stop and look for Adders sunbathing above tilly whim. Spotting two near the top of the bank, one dark in colour while the other is a lighter green with a dark almost black diamond pattern.
