A rather wet looking Grey Squirrel sits on the top of the Learning centre roof, crouched down by the aerial. Another wet morning, another day of donning my still wet waterproofs from the day before. Traipsing through the mud through to south field trying to not lose a welly on the way. A dot of yellow draws the eye to the middle of the field, a lone Daffodil in flower.

Over head a small charm of approximately six Goldfinch bounce along in the air, quietly chatting to each other as they go. At the gateway into light house field a Hawthorn is starting to develop small bright green leaves long its branches. down in the gully two Ravens soar above it silently heading towards the light house.

Down the woodchip path towards the cliffs, the log edging is covered a beautiful display of Turkey Tail Fungus in various shades of brown. A Bay tree of to the left has tiny white buds starting to show amongst the dark green scented foliage.

Down the diagonal path I seem to interrupt a meeting of Jackdaws all lined up along the fence line. They all take off in unison calling to each other as they go heading towards the cliffs. Down at the cliffs the Guillemot ledge is crowded, the sound of them jostling for space reaching me on the coast path. more sit on the water below the occasional one splashing down into the water beside the rest.

Looking back towards the light house from the glass observation point, two Herring Gulls rest on ledges, while above them two Great Black Backed Gulls do the same. A Raven shelters from the never-ending rain under a part of the cliff that juts out. A Peregrine Falcon gracefully soars past and out of sight round the light house. Wanting to take of my soggy waterproofs I head back.
