Heading down long meadow to avoid the muddy footpaths across the meadows. Bright yellow Lesser Celandine flowers peak out of the shorter turf. Above the buds on a Horse Chestnut tree are bulging ready to open.

Blackthorn is peppered in an abundance of tiny flower buds already to flower any day now. A small section I noticed along the drive has already starting flowering, though nothing on the long meadow side of the hedge just yet.

In the woodland the loud siren like call of a Wren catches my attention as it hops up the vines on a Clematis winding up a tree. Along the edge of the path a bright red fungus stands out on a part of the log edging. Scarlet Elf Cap bright red in colour as the name suggests is easily spotted on the bull brown log.

Down in sunny dale the first of the Daffodils have started to flower, bright yellow trumpet like flowers towering over the small plants around it. Below Ramsons have started to appear and are carpeting the bare ground. Purple Crocuses gather round the bottom of a large Sycamore, adding to the pallet of colour on the ground. Once bare Hydrangeas have tiny bright green leaves developing on its stems.

On Caravan Terrace the steady flower of ground water cascading down the rock face seems never ending, though Fern thinks it makes a great water fountain and helps herself to a drink. Below delicate sun yellow Primrose flowers all face out to see turned towards the sun.

The cliffs are alive with bird activity with the occasional Feral Dove parachuting of the edge of the cliffs, Fulmars diligently make their delicate circles in out. On the water Guillemot’s preen themselves or simply rest on the water, more join them making dramatic splash as their crash into the water.
