Sat in the office watching the world go by outside the window, two Jays appear off to the right landing in a Hawthorn tree. One lands in the grass pecking around looking for breakfast. Brightly coloured markings making the bird down out on this dull morning.
The sky is blanketed in a grey cloud cover with a fine missile dampening the park. The sun desperately tries to peak through in a few spots but is unsuccessful.
Two Great Tits flit about the scrub as runners’ job past heading for the park run start line. Opening the window, the sound of a Robin belting out a tune floats in of the breeze.
Wood Pigeons struggle against the wind above the scrub line. The mist rolls in as I write, and bird watch out the office window. Bulbus thistle seed heads sway in the breeze.
