Entering Skipworth meadow I’m met with the beautiful sight of a Kestrel hovering over the field looking for breakfast. Its head stays perfectly still while its tail and wings make minute adjustments to remain in position. With no luck in this spot, it flies off to search a different area.

Blackthorn blossom is just starting to turn being replaced with tiny green leaves. While Lords and Ladies are starting to send up there flowering stem. In the large copse Garlic Mustard is just starting to flower, tiny white flowers circle the top of the stem.

Entering Taskers meadow, I spot some Early Purple Orchids just down the path, easily recognised by their leaves with black dots. The wider field is covered in bright yellow Cowslips.

In the distance I hear a Stonechat, who I then spot perched atop some scrub in the distance. At the far end of oxeye just by the gate a small Elder bush is just starting to show flower buds, the buds spread out from one stem to form a plate of soon to be flowers. On the other side of the gate the tall stems of Charlock sway in the breeze.

Over the top of field ten I’m careful to not stand on Early Spider Orchids, as the ground is covered in them, there bright green stems and reddish flower that resembles a spider’s abdomen, making them stand out.  Over the top of the hill, I’m met with the sound of a Skylark singing somewhere in the distance.

Down on the cliffs the Guillemot ledge is jam packed with over 15 having to sit on the less desirable big slopping rock. A Raven soars past scanning the cliff tops. Out at sea huge rafts of Guillemots bob around the water. I watch two dive down in to the water using there wings to propel them through the water. Further round I spot the Raven again sat on the glass observation point scanning its surroundings. I manage to walk up to within 10m of it with out it spoking and fly off, from here you can really get a size of this bird and how muscular its build is. It flies off towards the light house, briefly getting a telling off from a Fulmar.
