Another windy morning, meaning a lot of birds had retreated into the safety of the bushes. As started my walk I could hear birds singing all around me hidden in the surrounding bushes. Blackthorns covered in big round blue slows lined the path as I walked toward the large copse. In the copse Stinking Iris had bright red berries adorn the top of the old flowering stems.

Entering Saxon field Swallows can be flying in all directions. Looking out towards the sea a huge black cloud be seen heading straight in my direction, I then regret not bringing a coat with me. Thankfully the black cloud goes straight over my head with out emptying.

Passing a big clump of Ivy draped over a Hawthorn I had noticed a few days ago I can see that it is starting to now flower. As I head into the next field what I believe to be a Jay is shocked by my entering of the field and flies off out of sight over the wall. A Carrion Crow rushes past my head towards the direction of the light house.

In the next field along two Sky Larks could be seen repeatedly flying ten meters up into the air, struggling with the wind and coming back down to the ground. When on the ground only the flapping of there wings meant they were visible. While doing this they seemed to be having an argument and fighting.

Turning around and heading back I notice three Chiffchaffs perched on a Bramble. The Bramble they were perched on leaves has started to turn yellow. The Hawthorn surrounding the Brambles is also starting to turn a beautiful light pink colour. Just further along a Goldfinch is perched on top of a thistle, while another group passes over head.

Heading through the last gate I spoke a Carrion Crow that flies off towards the other end of the field. As I get back to the centre four Magpies fly past over head cackling as they go.
