A beautiful fresh morning the sun was glistening off the sea making the blue sky even more vivid. The sound and smell of the seaside filled the air with Herring Gulls flying over making their iconic noise, clear gentle waves lapped against the shore and the sound of fishing boats chugged along heading west.

Entering the woodlands was like stepping into a jungle, fresh and lush and green. Dappled sunlight shone through the canopy, and the tree top leaves almost cover the blue sky. A Carrion Crow called out loudly from above.

As I was gazing out to sea, a loud rustle from below turned out to be a Roe Deer, walking along in the thicket the undergrowth. I found a lovely patch of Herb Robert spreading its way around Ivy patches. Between the trees Great-tits, Blue-tits and Robins dart around and sing out.

A Green Woodpecker called out from Long Meadow, and I spotted a Chaffinch pair in an Apple Tree. Wood Pigeons cooed from Holm Oak branches and Grey Squirrels whirled up and down the tall trees.
