A world of blue and white above, with green and white beneath
The woodlands fair are richly laced with a creamy flower wreath
Cow Parsley, Three Cornered Leek and Ransoms fill the bowers
A snowy prelude heralding the land of endless flowers
No different on the meadows broad where Pale Flax does sway
Where Birds Foot Trefoil, Common Vetch and Daisies line the way
Though late in season Early Purple Orchids hold their towers
The trail of the wave that sweeps the land of endless flowers
Walls are no stranger to lively bloom, they carry their fair share
Red Valerian, Honeysuckle and Toadflax all dwell there
They’ll call it home until at last the season finally sours
Until that day they gaily bloom in the land of endless flowers
Others dwell within this place; Wall Brown, Adonis Blue
Butterflies find their repose upon a petaled pew
Whitethroats and Goldfinches compete to test their vocal powers
And birdsong fills the air above the land of endless flowers
Seaward dwells Sea Campion by pink and hardy Thrift
Rocky cliff and sill alike are touched by natures gift
Herring Gull and Fulmar soar where salty sea breeze scours
Though these crags are no less part of the land of endless flowers
A cavalcade of colours hoisted high on leafy stems
Chalk Milkwort and Horseshoe Vetch among these precious gems
Fortunate are we to call this verdant garden ours
And when we wish, to walk among the land of endless flowers
