Hello ladies and gentlemen, I was cruising on by Durlston in my Cadillac when the Rangers invited me to write one of their little old wildlife diaries, so I stepped on my blue suede shoes and it was go cats go.

There was a whole mess of birds singing away in the trees, I heard some Chiffchaffs, Wrens, Great Tits and Chaffinches all wild in the country. I like their style. Further along a few Song Thrushes were putting on an impressive show. They’re some great little singers but I couldn't see them, they kept hiding inside the bushes. They must have suspicious minds.

Down on the edges of the path a bunch of Horsetails were growing, spreading their little green bristles out to the sun and reminding me of some good times back at the ranch. I also spotted some Crow Garlic and some Dog Violets growing in the hedgerows. The wildlife really is beautiful here, I’d like to do an in depth study some time.

I’d been walking for some time when I made it out to the middle of the Meadows, Skylarks singing in the air above. Now those fellas know how to put on a show for the ladies. I also passed a few people out walking their Hound Dogs and saw a couple of Rabbits. They aint never caught them.

The Hereford Cattle were grazing happily and set my stomach rumbling a little. I could sure go for a burger about now. There was plenty of green stuff out there too, with a whole lot of Cowslips, Early Scurvy Grass in flower near the cliffs, as well as a few Bluebells by the Lighthouse.

I’m afraid its time I left the building folks, I heard somebody’s throwing a party down at the county jail and I don’t want to miss it.

Thank you, Thank you very much
