Heading along the top of long meadow, Birds-foot Trefoil and a Common Spotted Orchid poke of the long grass. The tall flowering stalks of Agrimony with yellow flowers tower over the nearby Common Spotted Orchid.
Down past the dell the blossom laden branches of Mock Orange droop over the path, the branches smothered in large white flowers. Further down the hill round Durlston head Tamarisk is covered pale pink fluffy blossom. On the water below I catch my first glimpse of Guillemots this morning. Looking below the glass observation point a small group of to the side consisting of one lone Shag, two Razorbills and three Guillemots seem to huddle together apart from the large main group of Guillemots.
A one Fulmar swoops in and out of the cliffs edge, while Sea Campion is in flower along the tops of the cliff. The pale pink bottom half of the flower forming a balloon like shape topped with a white flower. further along Sea Thrift forms almost a carpet below the mile markers, though most have started to go over their crispy grey dried flowers remaining, though some still have their bright purple flowers.
A Black Cap sits on the edge of a Blackthorn branch before disappearing back into the safety of the scrub. On the telephone wire over the gully a male Stonechat sings, rocking back and forth on the wire trying not to fall off.
Greater Knapweed is in flower along the edges of the road the dark purple flowers topped with a Buff Tailed Bumblebee. Nearby a Yellow Toadflax is in full bloom the bright yellow flowers with an orange centre standing out against the green grass.
