What a difference 24 hours can make, compared to yesterdays dark cloudy and windy day, to is a bright sunny day with only a light fresh breeze. Heading down the long meadow path a Robin pops out of the hedge belting out a tune. Closely followed by my first Goldcrest of the morning first of many. It flits around the branches of a lichen smothered Blackthorn. The familiar call of Great Tits and Blue Tits also accompanies the Robins call.

The tall stems of Stinking Iris adorned with bright orange berries sang under the weight, their bright orange colour adding a splash of colour to the muted tone soft the woodland landscape this time of year. A Grey Squirrel feasts on the treats left out on a bird table at the Shed stuffing as much as it can in its face. A lone Hydrangea has a white flower perched right at the top of the bush.

Looking out to sea the water is calm and still compared to the dramatic waves that got nearly as high as the cliff path yesterday. The log edging along the play trail is covered in Turkey Tail Fungus.

A Wren sits atop a Fushia to call at the top of its lungs tail in the air waggling away. Another couple of Goldcrest flit amongst the branches of a Willow below the bridge. On the caravan terrace water tumbles down the rock face draining from the path above. Deep red from Rock Spray Cotoneaster decorates the slope up to the rock face. The deep red of the remaining berries and the leaves having now turned a brown, red colour. Yet another Goldcrest pops out of the hedge along the seaward side of the caravan terrace.
