Out through the muddy meadows, Old Man’s Beard sprawls over the top of Blackthorn and Bramble, fluffy seed heads decorating the top. Through the dew-covered long grass in Saxon, listening to a Robin somewhere in the distance. A long Field Buttercup pokes out the long grass, bright yellow flower like a small beacon, drawing your eye to the flower.
Along the cut electric fence line, a Parasol Mushroom sticks out the grass, the bright white top of the mushroom sticking out in the grass. Ivy creeps up the wall, its creeping vines crawl closer to the Centenary wall plaque always trying to obscure the plaque but never quite making it. Lime green berries top the vines at the top of the wall, round clusters of green berries.
overhead a large flock of Starlings dance past, shooting past in perfect formation. They duck and dive over the meadows in perfect formation before disappearing over the horizon. It starts raining again but only a light drizzle, while the sun desperately tries to poke through the cloud cover.
In centenary where a verge has been cleared back to the wall, Stinging Nettles are already starting to appear on the newly cleared ground. The unusually warm weather probably giving them a bit more energy to grow before the cold comes along.
A long Yarrow can be seen I the verge the large round flat cluster of white flowers, a bright white spot in a dull green sea of grass.
Popping into the bird hide, the usual suspects can be seen feeding o the recently filled bird feeder. Great Tits, Blue Tits and Chaffinch, all take it in turns to feast at the feeder. A Bullfinch with its bright red chest joins the feast standing out with its brightly red plumage and slightly larger than the others.
