A bright sunny autumn morning, the bright sunny burning the chill off the morning. Leaves crunch under foot as I head down past the castle to the glass observation point. Here I meet to regular bird watches admiring a Roe buck grazing along the very top of the cliff ledge, where one wrong hoof could see it falling into the water. It easily navigates its way along the thin path as it heads round an outcropping and out of sight.

Jackdaws chatter amongst themselves occasional bursting from the tufts of grass along the cliff top of the cliff. Below Herring Gulls shout to each other as they swoop along the bottom of the cliff. Two Great Black Backed Gulls bob around on the still water taking a well-deserved rest.

Every now and then the air is full of twinkling as Goldfinch pass by in large flocks. Their striking gold sides catching in the bright morning sun. they bob and weave their way across the sky as one before diving down as one to a new resting spot.

Up the diagonal hill the air is full of bird song brightening up an already bright morning. Chiffchaff, Robins and Great Tits are just some of the birds singing. A male Stonechat lands on a thin branch of Blackthorn white a female sits lower down on the same bush, both observing their surroundings. A Chiffchaff joins the two more erratic in its movement as it flits from branch to branch.

Blue Tits and Great Tits flit amongst the branches over head as I head through the woodland, while a lone Robins song came be heard calling from further down the hill.

Heading back to the Learning Centre I spot a Carrion Crow with a leucistic tail feather, giving a distinctive white stripe in its tail plumage.
