Dark grey clouds seem to grow closer as I make my way out to the meadows. Oxeye Daises just starting to go over can be seen outside the Learning Centre. The fluttering of wings draws my attention into the bird hide, where a Robin is frantically trying to escape via a closed window, after showing the lost bird the door I continue out into the meadows.

Pale pink Brambles are going over being replaced by green unripe blackberries. Field Scabious and Wild Carrot tower over the smaller Restharrow. The pale pink flower from Restharrow poking out of the green grass intermittently. The brown crispy flower heads of gone over Red Clover dots the meadow. While tall stems of Agrimony wait patiently to deposit their sticky seeds in Ferns fluffy ears.

Stopping to admire the view from the top of ten I sit down trying to avoid the Dwarf Thistles. Down in the gully the sound of Goldfinch and Blackbirds floats up on the soft breeze. Greater Knapweed sways gently some starting to turn brown and go over.

Heading through the kissing gate at the bottom of field 10, Gate Keeper Butterfly flutters across the path, as I pass through. Old Mans Beard smothers all surrounding plants, now in covered in a pale cream coloured fluffy flower.

The bright sunshine yellow flowers atop Fleabane will bring a smile to anyone’s face as the clump together at the side of the path. Swifts circle high in the air above the flat all in pursuit of food.
