I start off at the lower car park where I park the car, instantly I hear a Chiffchaff, Magpie, Robin, Blackcap, and Wren. I decide to walk part of the timeline where I spot some Sycamore and Holm Oak. On the other side of the path there are Primroses, Bluebells, Green Alkene, Cleavers, Nettles, and Stinking Iris.
Following the clifftop trail I turn left before the castle, the Horsetail plant and a Grey Squirrel are spotted, as well as a Chiffchaff, Wren, 4x Wood Pigeons, Blue Tit, Goldfinch, Great Tit, Robin, House Sparrow, over in the old Caravan site a Brimstone could be seen with my binoculars, a Jackdaw, Greater Black-Backed Gull, Herring Gulls, and many other Gulls are seen flying around and above the Pleasure Ground Woodlands, and a pair of Gannets are flying north over Durlston Bay towards Peveril Point.
Walking on via the Globe and towards the viewpoint, seen are Tamarisk, 2x Shags in the English Channel, Magpie, Jackdaw’s, Robin, around the globe is the purple from the Periwrinkle. I notice a fishing boat below the cliffs, I was a bit dismayed as it goes forward at some speed towards the group of Guillemots and Razorbills chilling on the English Chanel – the person heads straight towards them rather than around them scaring off many of the Guillemots and Razorbills on the water – not nice behaviour I thought!
At the viewpoint I spot 1 Razorbill – maybe the rest had flown away from the boat! Yet still many a Guillemot present. Other species spotted were Folmar’s, Herring Gulls, Jackdaw’s, Feral Pigeons, and a shag, and on the other side where there was primarily Holm Oak and Tamarisk heard was a Great Tit, Blue Tit, Chiffchaff, Long-Tailed Tit, and a Wren. Linnets can be heard above me.
Near Tilly Whim caves, many a Guillemot are spotted in there as I look with my binoculars beside the Teasel plants.
Have a great Tuesday!
