Another beautiful spring morning, with only the whisper of a breeze. The warm early morning sun warming as I head to the cliffs. Looking out at the calm tranquil sea this morning, Herring Gulls circle above, unusually quiet. The white trumpet like flowers of Three-Cornered Leeks is in flower outside the castle.

Crossing caravan terrace bridge a Grey Squirrel runs alongside me on the wall, while overhead the chitter chatter of Great Tits and Blue Tits fills the air. On the terrace Primroses are in full bloom, there bright yellow flowers turned towards the sun.

A long raft of Guillemots stretches out into the calm water, with a couple of Razorbills hanging around the edges of the raft. Fulmars circle gracefully in and out of the cliffs gently beating their mottled grey wings.  The fishy smell of the cliff ledge below fills the air as I pass over the top of it. Further round two Razorbills perch at the top of the cliffs with two Fulmars resting on ledge below.

The twinkling chatter of Goldfinch emanates from the blossom covered Gorse as I head up the diagonal path. Occasionally I catch a glimpse of one or two as they pass by. The sweet coconut scent of the bright yellow Gorse in flower follows me up the path.

In the woodland a Chiffchaff flits amongst the branches of a Sycamore. At eye level two Speckled Brown Butterflies have an ariel dispute, before they move their dispute over some Brambles.
