A bright sunny morning poor over the park with, a full moon can still be seen looming over meadows as I head out through south field. The twittering of a flock of Goldfinch can be heard as they pass by.

Passing dence patches of scrub the sound of bird life within can be heard but not seen. The scratchy call of a Wren followed by the moor sing song call of a Robin. Just before the gate at the end of the field, a flash of white catches the eye as a Rabbit runs from the open grassy area into the safety of the dense scrub. White cotton tail the last thing I see before it disappears. Quite an exciting spot as its only my second ever Rabbit I have seen at Durlston.

A quick check of the cows through my binoculars in their new field in Haysoms, they all seem happy as they graze. Above them along the ridge line of the old tip the silhouette of Roe Deer bound along. Through my binoculars I can see three bucks in their own separate group away from a pair of does. The bucks race away in dramatic fashion, with does staying put continuing to graze obviously unfazed by whatever spooked the bucks.

In eight acres several Herring Gulls, Magpies, Carrion Crows and a long cock Pheasant peck away at the recently disturbed ground from the cows. While the call of another Pheasant somewhere in the distance fills the air.

Heading back through the top of field 10 I spot some Crows Garlic sticking out of the long grass.
