Its still dark as I arrive at the park this morning. heading out through the woodland the sun can be seen just starting to appear on the horizon. As it rises it casts a wonderful red glow over everything.
A Wren pokes its head out of the laid hedge at the bottom of long meadow, it calls to another hidden somewhere in the long grass. At the top of the dell two Blue Tits flit amongst the branches on a bare Blackthorn, there constant chatter following me as I head on to caravan terrace.
The glow from the rising sun, baths the terrace in a warm red glow, while water runs down the rock face at the back. As the sun continues to rise its unfortunately covered by a thick layer of cloud. Down the steep hill the bright red chest of a Bullfinch perched in some Ivy catches my attention, more join it, the flash of white form there tail feathers as they race past catching my eye. They all dive into the cover of the Ivy and out of sight.
A Robin perches on the wall a little further down, while over the other side of the wall a fluffy brown Robins Pin Cushion sways gently on the top of a Rose stem. The Wasps gall having engulfed the rose hip.
Below the globe a Peregrine Falcon soars past towards the light house and out of sight, its closely followed by two Great Black Backed Gulls, who call to each other their loud screeches filling the air. On the water a small raft of Guillemots bobs around on the calm sea. The gurning noise of them chatting to each other floats up on the light breeze between calls from passing Gulls. Looking back towards the ledge it looking rather crowded this morning with more still trickling in.
Below of the light house bridge a long Goldfinch seems to search around for its companions, as its flits about the white fluffy branches of Old Mans Beard. A loud croaking call pierces the air a Raven passes over head. Soon its followed by the silent soaring of a Kestrel.
