After a poor nights sleep, I needed to blow the cob webs away and with the strong wind and gales this Diary session certainly did that. As I walk towards the castle spotted was a Wood Pigeon flying above me and a Robin flying towards Bramble. As one walks through, I notice the Holm Oaks, Sycamore, and Ash swinging in the wind. Walking on seen was a Magpie on Scots Pine as a Grey Squirrel scurries along with something in its mouth.

I take the Clifftop. Seen at the beginning of the trail were many Wood Pigeons, Blackbird (male and female), Chaffinch, and Great Tit. Past this and watching over Durlston Bay spotted was 3x Herring Gulls, a possible Fulmar in the further distance, and a Black-Backed Gull. I stop and look out where the clouds look so stormy and dark, yet the sun is trying to come out. As I pass the Dolphin Hide spotted is a Shag heading east, a Black-Backed Gull as well as a Herring Gull. No Guillemots are spotted when walking further.

I get to Tilly Whim, spotted here looking past the Dwarf Gorse are the waves crashing up onto the rocks down below where the Rock Samphire, Sea Aster and Thrift thrive. Also seen was a Rock Pipit down on the rocks.

I head down past the Tilly Whim gate I check on the temporary electric fence keeping the Herefords in, these cattle grazing away in a chill fashion. With the high waves I check on the blow hole down at the bottom – the waves are so turbulent that the waves crash onto the cliffs creating a blast straight up, I had taken a video of this and posted it on our Facebook and Instagram. As the waves are splashing onto the cliffs a Shag sits on the water fishing like the English Channel is calm.
