A bright sunny morning with a cool breeze accompanies me on my walk this morning. Looking up as I head down long meadow, Old Mans Beard can be seen climbing its way up the dead branches of an Ash. Further along a Robin belts a tune out from a Hawthorn, covered in bright red berries. A Horse Chestnut leaves are turning brown from the top down. A Red Admiral Butterfly basks on a bright red, black berry on the verge of ripening.

Looking out over the sea from the bridge along the coast path, a large group of House Martins swirl about in the air in one large ball of birds. They chatter to each other as they prepare to make the long journey to there over wintering home. The call of Raven brakes through the chatter of the House Martins, it soars past making all the other birds look small.

Round the dell white fluttering wings can be seen in all directions. Cabbage Whites can be seen basking on the lower branches of an Ash Tree.  More can be seen on the Buddleia down in the Dell.

The House Martins continue to swirl overhead seeming to follow me as I make my way down the towards Durlston Head. The bright purple flowers of Sea Aster poke up between the branches of the shorter Tamarisk.  Further round a larger Tamarisk is alive with Chiffchaff preparing for their long journey to there over wintering home. There little green / brown heads occasionally popping up over the vegetation in all directions.

Heading up the diagonal path I keep an eye on any sunny patches below the scrub. A tiny Common Lizard catches my eye, the beautiful green and brown markings looking amazing in the early morning sun.
