Bright red Dog Wood stems line the path into the woodland, bringing some colour to yet another dull dry morning. Lords and Ladies have burst from the ground all around the base of the newly laid hedge.

Rainwater rushes down the edges on the path making its way to drainage gaps in the walls. Down at the castle Daffodils and Three-Cornered Leeks have burst it to flower. The large bright yellow flower head of the Daffodils overpowering the smaller more delicate white flowers of the Three-Cornered Leeks.

On caravan terrace ground water from above cascades down the rock face while above a Robin belt out a tune over the sound of rushing water. On the ground Primroses have started flowering all around sunshine yellow flowers lighting up the dull morning. Below the bridge small white flower buds swell on Blackthorn branches.

Heading down the steep path, a clump of scrub off to the right seemed alive with bird life. Great Tits and Blue Tits flit among the branches of a Blackthorn. Three Goldfinch below scrabble away in Old Mans Beard hanging low over the path. A Gold Crest flits across the path coming to land in a clump of Ivy. Sat on the wall of to my right a Dunnock watches me as it calls to its friend across the path, it lets me get within a meter of it before flying off.

At the glass observation point a Peregrine Falcon soars up high above my head, wings braced against the wind in a desperate attempt to stay in one stop. Its head swivels in all directions observing its surroundings, before diving back down to the level with the cliffs and flying off towards the light house. Another joins it on its patrol of the cliffs back towards me.
