A cold biting breeze whips across the park this morning, I head across the south field. Carrion Crows duck and dive over the top buffeted by the wind, some coming to land in the field and peck round the piles of old hay left from the hay bales. The chattering of Great Tits and Robins can be heard coming from the scrub, they stay out of sight in the shelter of the dense scrub.

Over Oxeye two Ravens soar low over the field rising to doge scrub and dry-stone walls. Ivy creeps its way over the tops of the dry-stone walls clusters of berries adoring its stems.

Down at the cliff the Guillemots ledge is packed with five having to use the large rock. Below on the rough water approximately 40 bob about in large rafts, more join them ungracefully crashing in to the water. Four Fulmars gracefully swoop in and out of the cliffs edge, further along the path coming close to my eye level to be able to admire the pretty bird.

Heading back up I pop into the top of the light house field briefly. Two Peregrin Falcons appear overhead, together they drive on a Raven, it flips on to its back to defend itself with its claws, giving up it takes cover in a Holm Oak. The two Peregrines wait for it hovering above, though not as skilled at staying stationary in the air compared to a Kestrel they try their best, one eventually giving up and letting the wind take it. When the Raven re appears the long Peregrine again chases and dives the Raven, the other eventually returning to join the fight, all three fly down into the gully and out of sight.
