Driving in a Roe Deer runs out in front of my car, I slam the brakes and it disappears into long meadow, all involved okay, but a rather dramatic start to my morning. I walk along long meadow to start my walk to see if I can see the offending deer, it has run off somewhere out of sight.

I pass a Horse Chestnut tree covered in conkers nearly ready to drop. A flock of six Goldfinch bounce there way over long meadow chatting away to each other. There gold sides catching the light in the sun making them obvious to identify.

In the woodland bright white berries are starting to form on the branches of a Snow Berry bush. Above in the canopy the sound of Great Tits calling each other catches my attention I look up to see one bouncing around the branches on a Sycamore.

A chorus of loud bird song hits me as I approach the Aviary Glade. Magpies all around the glade shout at each other at the top of there lungs, a loud scratchy cackle echoing around the glade. Two tiny Wrens at opposite ends of the glade manage to match the noise level of the magpies above as they shout at each other. At the same time a large flock of Herring Gulls fly over the tops of the trees all shouting at each other.

Hydraugers with pink and white flower heads contort themselves to the sunlight in the gap of the canopy. Walking back up the coast path I meet a flock of Long Tailed Tits hoping about the trees on the seaward side of the path. Tails dangling down below the branches they perch on tiny little round faces adorable to look at through my binoculars.
