A wet and damp park greeted me this morning. With a hazy mist hanging over the park. Deciding to take a slightly more sheltered route I headed down long meadow. Long grass sagged under the wait of the rain and Ragwort flopped into the path. Wild Carrot, Knapweed and Agrimony stand strong under the weight of the water.

I walk along the woodchip path in the woodland listening to the distant sound of a Robin singing and the dripping of water on leaves in the canopy above. Tiny white flowers cover the Privet trees to the sides of the path. Ivy below tries to creep its way back on to the path.

Down in the aviary glade two Carrion Crows root around in the dirt looking for breakfast seemingly unfazed by the rain.  While the canopy of Sycamores above them is laden with their winged seed pods ready to flutter away at any moment. Pink and white Hydrangeas are in full bloom, there flower heads twist to face an opening in the canopy to face the sun better.

Heading back the up the coast path, I spot a large flock of Long Tailed Tits, flittering from tree to tree along the cliff top, chatting amongst themselves. There log tails pocking down from branches making them easy to recognise.

In the castle woodland sound of Stone Chats calling could be heard all around. I spot a female sitting on a fallen Holm Oak branch, it continues shouting until shotting me and disappearing.
