Another warm sunny morning with a light breeze great’s me at the park this morning I head down the long meadow path, flubs of Meadow Brown Butterflies take flight as my legs graze the grass. In the grass Climbing Vetch with tiny purple flowers creeps its way ground the tufts of grass. Pale Flex gently sways in the breeze and Meadow Vetchling adds pops of yellow to the display. A Horse Chestnut tree has small conkers starting to form where once was flowers.
Once in the woodland I head down the woodchip path where Privet has burst into flower on either side of the path, clusters of tiny white flower looking almost fluffy from afar. Stinking Iris flowers have gone over to be replaces with large plump seed pods in the shape of rugby balls.
I pass the shed admiring their lovely looking tomato plants for sale. I pass by the Hydrangeas which are starting to flower and are looking healthy thanks to the sheddies hard work watering them.
Walking up the coast path I find a camper who I gently remind we don’t allow camping anywhere on sight and ask to move on. Further on I’m even more annoyed to find a discarded BBQ, which for some strange reason had a polystyrene bottom which proceeded to disintegrate the moment I picked it up, sending tiny white plastic balls everywhere. We don’t allow BBQ or fires anywhere on sight especially now with all this dry weather we have had.
I head down to the cliffs, which are alive with bird life. A large raft of Guillemots bobs about on the water the sound of them talking amongst themselves floats up on the sea breeze. Jackdaws fly in every direction and a Shag fly out to sea. As I get closer to Tilly Whim long stems from Honeysuckle reach their way over the wall and the sweet scent of its flowers fills the air. A Peregrine Falcon sores past in the blink of an eye heading towards the light house. Marbled White Butterflies busy themselves flying up and down the grass verges, while to Rock Pipits hop along the wall shouting.
