Hawthorn blossom scent was enjoyed as a dry, cracked clay path was walked over. Yellow flowers of Black Medic were at the bare soil margin, whilst Wild Thyme flowered at the tarmac edge. Although I search for a Gentian at the roadside rock exposure, I had to be content with Eye Bright and Milkwort flowers instead. A Swallow, chattering in flight was heard whilst Guillemots were seen offshore just beyond a pot marker.

Fleshy, vibrant fresh Gorse growth sprung up near ankle height. Occasional squeaks came from the metal panels as the moved in the wind upon the measure mile markers. Today, the grassland (amongst it Quaking Oats Grass) was a more effective vocal chord for the wind,  A Linnet, marked with red, perched in an bare branches of an Apple surrounded by Gorse.  Off Tilly Whim, the sun dazzled upon the sea. Red / Pink Valerian had come out at the cliff edge. Whilst Tamarisk sway in the wind, a Dwarf Mallow flow just escaped being trod upon. Jackdaws explored the gully ravine as a Shag flew west and waves met the rocky shoreline. A few Ox Eye Daisies were scattered about the gully slopes. Upon a dry cattle track I found some Guillemot eggshell fragments. I was soon to find nearby a seventy percent intact egg from which these pieces came- presumably more Raven action. A fellow egg thief, corvid in the form of a Magpie explored a dense clump of scrub. Surprisingly an unidentified Blue Butterfly appeared despite the breeze. A laminated grazing sign mirrored sunlight upon the coastal ridge. A Spear Thistle stretched out finger sized fingers. Wild Roses had white flowers at ankle level near the demo quarr and there were signs of the mustard-coloured flowers of Wild Parsnip. Beside each other both Common Dock and Stinging Nettle flowered.
