I walk past two Chaffinch hoping about an Ash tree in the carpark they quickly fly away as I pass. Entering long meadow, a Great tit calls out from the top a tree singing, its loud repetitive “teacher teacher” song. It spots me and fly’s off to sing form a different perch. A small scattering of Cow Slips lines the path while Mare’s tail is just starting to make an appearance along the bottom of the hedge line.

Along the woodchip path in the woodlands Bluebells have popped up everywhere. While Ramsons are just starting to burst into flower, tiny white flowers making a fluffy white pompom on top of the flowering stem. At the bottom of the woodland more Bluebells and Ramsons can be seen in flower as well as Daffodils which are just starting to go over, tiny yellow flowers from Lesser Celandine, adding to the colour pallet.

Along the coast path Garlic Mustard can be seen just coming into flower, tiny white flowers form circles of flowers round the stem. Below the bridge three Jays perch in Black Pine, occasionally flying to a different branch they show of their beautifully coloured wings, you could be forgiven for thinking they were parrots.

Down on the cliffs I disturb a Raven observing the cliffs for its next meal, it sores off in the direction of the castle. Three Fulmars circle in and out of the cliffs edge two almost in sync. On the water Guillemots and Razor Bills form loose rafts, preening and washing themselves. I watch some Razor Bills on a ledge near the top of the cliff fly in, while just above them in the short turf Sea Thrift can be seen just coming into flower.
