As I approach the dell, I spoke three Blackbirds further down the steep path to the cliffs. Which in there usually dramatic fashion take flight shouting to go hide in a nearby bush. Five Squirrels are busying themselves around the Dell looking for hidden treats in the leaf litter or scurrying up trees. A small flock off Goldfinch come in land in the branches of an Ash Tree above my head mixed into the chattering bunch are some Bluetits. As one both Bluetits and Goldfinch they rise from the Ash Tree branches to disappear into some nearby bushes.

I walk further round the cliff top path where three Great Black Baked Gulls swoop on path heading towards Tilly Whim. The tops of the Tamarisk sway gently in the wind, while the sound of the crashing waves drifts up from below. As I walk along the top of the cliffs Feral Dove and Jackdaws intermittently seem to explode from the sides of cliff.

The familiar sound of Guillemots floats up from the cave below, I then spot one flying out to sea. Perched on the edge of the cliff is a Peregrine Falcon on the look of breakfast.  When I get to Tilly whim to and look back at the Guillemot cave, I’m surprised to see that only a couple of individuals can be seen in the cave after hearing them earlier.

I walk along the coast path towards the lighthouse and head back up light house road. At the bridge I stop to watch some Great Tits and Blue Tits hop around a Sycamore. Amongst them a tiny Goldcrest also can be seen easily spotted due to the size difference between the birds.

As I take the mornings rainwater reading a Hen Pheasant walks around the fossil wall before seeing me and running off into the bushes, in a dramatic fashion.
