Me and Fern walked down the edge of the long meadow. Fern crashed alongside me through the recently fallen leaves, while I watched a large flock of Wood Pigeon flew past overhead admitting a low hum as they do. Sycamores cling on to the last few remaining yellow leaves while an oak just further along still clings on to nearly all its leaves. As I pass a large Sycamore tree it erupts with Wood Pigeon dispersing in all directions.

We walk along the woodchip path along to the shed which is now covered in fallen leaves. We pass a log covered in small Turkey Tail fungus. A Squirrel then leaps from one tree to another overhead dislodging some leaves which come floating to the floor.

As we get to the coast path a look out to see the sun casts a golden glow on the horizon where it can just about poke through the cloud cover. A couple of Robins sing out from either side of the path perfectly hidden in the tree cover. Fern then pulls me off to the side where she has spotted a Squirrel sat atop a tree stump feasting on an acorn for breakfast in seeing us it then scampers quickly up a nearby Holm Oak where it stars down on us in disgust.

We get to the steep path down to the cliffs where three pigeons swoop down the path, mixed in is a Jay who then lands on the bench at the bottom, quickly spotting us a vanishing into the bushes. A Jackdaw sits atop of the castle turret observing its surroundings. Approaching the glass view point several Wood Pigeons and Jackdaws can be seen circling round the area, soon dispersing.

A little further along I spot a Peregrine Falcon sat on the edge of the cliff. We walk along to a spot we can watch it from the top where its only sat about 10m away from us. Fern pears over the edge to get a look at this funny bird, its head swivels to star at us quickly deciding we are of no fret, turning back to keep an eye out for breakfast. We watch it for a while occasionally it twitches when a protentional victim fly’s past. After watching it for a while we decide to head back to the centre.
