As I start my walk, I’m greeted by a Robin singing at the top of a Hawthorn. I walk past a tree where three Great Tits hop around the branches quite happily. A Chiffchaff calls out just a little further down the path. I then spot it hopping round a Lime tree. I head towards the castle to let in some contractors.
I spend my time waiting looking around the dell and the caravan terrace. I spot a Robin singing from a Buddleia alongside the castle. While flocks of Ferrell Pigeons, wood Pigeons and Jackdaws fly past in all directions. A squirrel run along the wall to the side of me and runs off to hunt for acorns round the bottom of a Holm Oak.
The sound of water dripping off leaves all round fills the air join by the sound of birds singing. One Robin sings loudly from a fallen tree seeing anyone off who may try to also sit on the fallen tree.
I spot a tiny bird hopping around a Blackthorn in front of me, on closer inspection it turns out to be a Goldcrest. I spend a good few minute watching the little bird hop all around the tree.
After letting the contractors in I pop down to the bottom of the castle to see a Great Black Backed Gulls soar path towards the lighthouse. Five Herring Gulls then follow suit towards the light house. A Wood Pigeon, Magpie and three Jackdaws mill around the grassed area just outside the gallery.
