Heading through the long meadow picnic area towards the woodland, I walk underneath a Lime and Sycamore Tree that have both began to loose there leaves especially on the top part of the tree. Just past these trees I look out to sea where the sun is just poking through the cloud cover further out to sea. I head down past the castle to the caravan terrace, where I sore a couple of Wall Lizards the other day, in the hopes of seeing them again I was unsuccessful not surprisingly due to the overcast cooler morning. I did however get to admire more Buddleia still clinging on to its last remaining flowers.

Further down towards the cliffs where it starts to get a bit more exposed the Tamarisk bushes that line the to of the cliffs hear and gently swaying in the breeze. While several Herring Gulls fly high up in the sky heading in all directions. Two Great Black Backed Gulls fly past very close to my face and head towards the castle. When I stop as the glass observation point to note what I have seen so far down a commotion brings my attention to something infront of me. A large group of Jack Daws are chasing a young Peregrine Falcon into the Tamarisk directly below me. I pear down over the wall to see the Peregrine looking rather disgruntled and a bit of a mess with feathers poking out in all directions. After a few minutes of composing itself and making sure the cost was clear it flew off towards the castle.

I headed up past the mile markers on way back to the Learning Centre. I spotted a Bloody Nosed Beatle meandering its way across the path. When I got back up the top, I popped in on the bird ringers who said they had had a rather busy morning with lots of different species and high numbers with several species. Just some of the species they had caught this morning are 23 Grasshopper Warblers, Robins, Chiffchaffs, Black Caps, Golf Crest, Goldfinch and Pied Wagtail.
