I knew it was to be a great walk this morning as I got out of my car to be greeted by two Peregrine Falcons swooping low over the bushes in front of the Learning Centre. I start my walk by heading towards the small copse I notice some Clematis in flower winding it way up a Blackthorn to the side of the path.

As I walker through taskers meadow I admire the smattering of Wild Carrot though out the meadow adding beautiful splash of white every now and then. A Meadow Brown Butterfly flutters past seeming to struggle against the breeze and come to rest on a blade of grass. As I look west, I can see the moon in the sky which looks rather eerie on such a sunny day.

Walking through a more sheltered spot in Saxon field a walk though a cloud of Meadow Brown Butterflies. I also notice a Six-Spot Burnet Moth sitting on top of a Field Scabious.

There are lots of dog walkers out this morning, getting a walk in before it gets to hot. This meant I stopped to pet lots of dogs this morning! After petting a lovely golden retriever, I spotted some Pyramidal Orchids that had nearly all gone over. Only the top still purple while the rest of it had turned brown. While looking at the orchids a Goldfinch fly past coming to rest on top of some Knapweed, which gently rocked side to side under its weight.

I head towards the cliffs making my way down the path to the bottom on the gully. As I pass the lighthouse 5 or so Jackdaws come to land on top of it shouting about it the whole time. I stop at the bottom of the gully briefly to listen to the sea lapping at the bottom of cliffs. Its starting to get hot now and the water looks very inviting for a swim.

I head back up the learning centre where I bump into Zennor, the artist who is showing her work in the gallery, she informs me that last night she spotted 4 Glow Worms around the centre.
