At the start of my walk this morning I am greeted by a Swallow flying overhead, heading back towards the Learning Centre. Walking through the meadow various patches on purple stand out from the everything else. I get closer to one of these purple patches to find its Climbing Vetch in flower. A cock Pheasant can be heard calling somewhere in the distance. As I walk, I disturb three pigeons taking cover in the meadow who fly up dramatically and fly towards a wooded area.

Another Swallow passes me by this time flying low over the meadow. In the distance I can hear a Skylark singing though I am unable to find the sauce of the noise.

I arrive at the top of the gully where a male Black Bird flies past down into the gully. At the top of the lighthouse field, I spot a Greenfinch on top of a Hawthorn singing. I stop and talked to some dog walkers for a bit who tell me all about some Herring Gulls that are nesting on their roof.

Walking past some Blackthorn some Honeysuckle can be seen growing up it and is in flower.  At the top of lighthouse road, a Magpie jumps along the wall, while I stop to watch some sailing boats float past on the calm water.

I head down to the cliffs past the mile markers and stop to listen to a Stonechat singing on top of a Tamarisk. At the cliffs I head for Tilly Whim to look at the Guillemot cave. The cave is nearly almost empty now with maybe 20 plus stragglers, with everyone else having left to head out to sea. A Great Black Backed gull circles the area near the cave a few times before heading off. I then head back up the hill where a Marbled White butterfly flutters along side me for a while.
