The pretty pink-tinged clouds quickly disappeared to be obliterated by dark grey rain clouds which proceeded to deliver their load!
Along the cliffs the seabirds certainly the stars of the show, with the ledges full of Guillemots, the black and white colours jostling for place as they look to reassert their breeding territory.
The sea was a mass of grey and white churning water, as the wind whipped it into white crest. Bobbing in amongst this were about 40 auks of which 23 were Razorbills, their colour much darker, the bills thicker than those of the Guillemots.
The wind buffeting along the cliffs, flicking the feathers on the chests of the Peregrine Falcon which was perched on a rock outcrop. Just a little higher, in a bit more shelter was a second Peregrine, this one with a less dark grey back. On both of these birds their yellow feet could be seen as they clung to the rock.
Soaring just above the cliff top were 3 Fulmars, a superb sight as they zoomed in and out, projecting their feet towards the cliff as they turned with a flick of the narrow straight wings.
A Rock Pipit was strutting along the top of the boulder, the grey coloured bird blending on very well with the dull background colour of the area on this damp morning.
Every day a few more plants are emerging from winter, buds of Daffodils are bursting into a show of yellow, a few Snowdrops are flowering in the woods were the Winter Flowering Cherry is still offering the delicate pink flowers to be enjoyed.
More Gorse flowers opening up producing a bright golden yellow splash while above the large black shape of a Raven soared.
