A moody day this morning. The sun made a petty effort to breakthrough the heavy cloud cover, but in the end the clouds won.
The first sighting was of two Roe Deer, one doe, one buck which watched me walk down Lighthouse Field towards the gully.
Plenty of birds around this morning. The Gully was exceptionally good.
- Goldfinch
- Common Redpoll
- Bullfinch
- Wren
- Dunnock
- Robin
- Kestrel
- Jackdaw
- Carrion Crow
- Jay
- Magpie
- Blue tit
- Redwing
- Song Thrush
- Rock Pipit
- Stonechat
- Blackbird
- Woodpigeon
- Chaffinch

The Guillemot ledge was filled to the brim until two Peregrine Falcons flew over. The Guillemots took a disliking to this and all took off, flying out a few 100m before all turning round and flying back onto the ledge.
Other sightings on the coast path included:
- Great Black-Backed Gull
- Jackdaw
- Cormorant
- Shag
- Rock Dove
- Herring Gull
- Stonechat
- Rock Pipit

When returning to the learning centre I spotted a Brambling hidden amongst a company of Chaffinches. Its loud sharp call gave it away!
