A quiet and fresh morning to be walking around the Country Park, as I entered a chittering of Blue Tits rang out from around a Buddleia. Two Bullfinches flew along Taskers path to then settle and hide in a nearby Hawthorn. From within the Hedgerow Robins and Chaffinch sang out.
Parting ominous black clouds made way for blue sky and sun beams hitting fluffy white clouds. Across the meadows the hay bales are being collected, which means soon our Herefords will be making their way around the meadows for some light grazing, please make sure you close all the gates behind you, unless they have been tied open and keep your dogs under very close control.
Four Magpies were digging around a meadow while from the branch of a Sycamore tree a Whitethroat sang its scratchy tune and Great Tits sounded. Along another tight footpath I had a beautiful view of two Robins and a Redstart.
In the upper gully the Herefords were happily chomping away, the calves still looking small against the larger mums, filling up on the fresh grass. A charm of Goldfinches flew over and landed in a Elder tree, then another flew over landing further land a dry stone wall.
