Durlston Country Park is Open

Durlston Castle is open for Information, giftshop, toilets, exhibitions and cafe, 

The Cafe is Open daily from 9am to 5pm, for inside and outside table service and takeaway. 

The wider park is open as normal with toilets available at the Learning Centre.

Rangers are on site every day, and pay and display machines are operating in the car parks.

Volunteering opportunities are available across the park, please email Durlston@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk for details

General

  • We are asking that face coverings must be worn in the Castle, except for those who are exempt, or while eating or drinking at the café
  • Please maintain social distance from other visitors.
  • Track and Trace (QR code and paper slips) are available
  • Durlston has an enhanced cleaning schedule, with regular cleans of the car park machines, toilets and other facilities.
  • Hand sanitiser is provided at various stations around the park for hand hygiene
  • Rangers are on site during office hours and can be reached by calling 01929 424443 or visiting the Castle.

Castle 

  • The Visitor Centre, Giftshop and Gallery are open daily from 10:00-17:00
  • There is no need to pre-book a visit
  • Please sanitise your hands before entering
  • Please wear a face covering 
  • The Treckinetic Wheelchair and the Trampers are available for hire. Please contact the office to arrange a booking.

Restaurant 

  • Seventhwave Cafe is open, operating with table service. It is open from 9.00 - 17:00 seven days a week.
  • Booking is advised.
  • Takeaway is available from the cafe or kiosk (when open)
  • The kitchen is operating with an enhanced cleaning schedule, and screens between staff and customers.
  • Please observe social distancing while inside.

Toilets

  • Toilets are available beside the Learning Centre and in Durlston Castle.
