Durlston: The Appeal

"I’m pleased to give my support to such an exciting and worthwhile project" - Bill Oddie We are now close to our match funding target to restore Durlston Castle and create a world class gateway to Durlston and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.   About the Project The Durlston Project was earmarked £3.27m by the Heritage Lottery Fund in December 2006. This, plus some other major contributions means that a large proportion of the £5.85m total cost should be met.  More about The Durlston Project  We Need Your Help We have already raised much of the ‘matched funding’, but a small amount still remains to be found or this major funding will be lost. How to Donate  You can either: Donate online by credit or debit card OR Send a cheque payable to: 'The Jurassic Coast Trust – Durlston Fund'   Please say if you want to use Gift Aid and make your donation worth even more.  For every pound you give, we will receive an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue. To qualify for Gift Aid the amount you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must be at least equal to the amount we will claim in the tax year. Join the Walk of Words Leave a lasting reminder of what Durlston means to you or someone close to you. The Walk of Words will be placed in the garden of the Castle, using blocks of local Purbeck stone, engraved with wording of your choice. The blocks will provide space for 48 characters / letters (including spaces) giving plenty of scope for creativity. The blocks will be laid as part of the Durlston Project, but in the interim, your words will be displayed at the Visitor Centre and on the website.  See blocks already produced The Walk of Words will be a celebration of Durlston’s unique, living heritage, and will be seen by future generations of visitors. Spaces are limited and will allocated on a strictly ‘first come’ basis.
